Panna cotta may be the most famous Italian dessert. It is a set sweet dish made from cream or whipped cream. Making a classic panna cotta requires a little knack for cookery and a little time, as the cream mixture needs to set after it is cooked or heated, before it can be turned out and served. This creamy dessert is certainly not ‘quick’.
However, our version of this sophisticated Mediterranean speciality takes much less time to prepare and, best of all, doesn’t need cooking! Simply beat with milk and cream, chill and enjoy Italian style. The panna cotta is topped off with the fruity and fresh strawberry sauce that comes with it.
